DETAILED DESCRIPTION The present invention is a sampled data filtering and correlation system.
The system includes apparatus for combining input signals applied to the system with correction signals to develop output signals of the filter system.
These output signals are applied to a finite impulse response (FIR) filter, the filter coefficients of which may be switched between values for filtering and values for correlation via a control signal.
In the filtering mode, the signals developed by the filter are applied to the signal combining apparatus as correction signals.
In the correlation mode however, the output signals of the FIR filter are the output signals of the correlator and are not applied to the signal combining apparatus.
