In order to achieve the above object of the present invention, there is provided a speech recognition apparatus comprising: speech input means for externally inputting a speech; first control means, connected to the speech input means, for performing a predetermined operation when the speech is input; speech recognizing means, connected to the speech input means, for recognizing the input speech; and second control means, connected to the speech recognizing means, for performing an operation different from the predetermined operation performed by said first control means on the basis of a recognition result obtained by the speech recognizing means.
With the above arrangement, the present invention has an effect of correctly performing time measurement or data search in accordance with speech recognition.
