Conservation of water in operating evaporative coolers

Details

The present invention relates to operation of residential or commercial evaporative coolers, more specifically, its subject matter is conservation of water needed to cool down ambient air in their operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION This invention (with two novel methods) describes changes in operation of evaporative coolers.
It offers considerable advantages over the prior art in that * it permits in one method described hereabove to reduce consumption of supply water by partially reducing the bleed-off portion of process water in evaporative coolers beyond the rate known and/or designed in the prior art, and/or in another herein described method to cancel the bleed-off completely, increasing thereby the gain of conserved water up to the reasonably possible maximum; * it provides an agent, which, when introduced into the circulating process water, allows either partial reduction of bleed-off, or its complete elimination; * it improves the saturation of heat exchange media by reducing or cancelling bleed-off and in that way increases the cooling effectiveness of evaporative coolers; * it reduces the total cost of water and electric power in operating evaporative coolers; * it prolongs the actual life of evaporative coolers by eliminating or greatly decreasing the corrosive action caused by water hardness minerals; and, * it shows a way to massive savings of our natural water resources.
Various modifications of this invention are possible which will be apparent to those skilled in the art and which can be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the following claims.
