This device comprises a purification vessel 1 with an inlet chamber 2 to which the liquid to be treated, generally polluted waste water, can be supplied by means of a supply duct 3.
A separator 4, by means of which the impurities can be separated from the carrier liquid, communicates with the chamber 2.
