An axle driving system, wherein a first chamber and a second chamber partitioned from each other are formed in a housing, a hydraulic non-stage transmission is housed in the first chamber, axles and means for transmitting power from the transmission to the axles is housed in the second chamber. At the upper portion of the housing is disposed an oil storage tank positioned across the first and second chamber. Oil through-bores for flowing oil therethrough are provided in the first and second chambers respectively. At the oil storage tank are provided means in common to charge oil into each chamber. Means for observing oil quantity, and breather means for ventilating outside air are also provided. The first and second chambers are not in direct fluid communication with each other, so that the hydraulic non-stage transmission is not adversely effected by foreign objects, such as iron powder or air bubbles produced by the differential gear, thereby improving durability and reliability and lowering the manufacturing cost.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION In the axle driving system of the present invention, a first chamber and a second chamber are partitioned from each other within a sealed housing.
The first chamber contains a hydraulic non-stage transmission.
The second chamber contains axles and transmitting means for connecting the axles.
The upper portion of the sealed housing houses an oil storage tank which spans the first and second chambers.
The first and second chambers are provided with oil through-bores for oil to flow therethrough.
The oil storage tank is positioned above the first chamber so that oil fills the first chamber and covers the interior thereof.
Oil charge means are positioned in common in the oil storage tank for charging oil into the respective chambers.
Oil observation means for observing oil quantity, and a breather for ventilating outside air are also provided in the oil storage tank.
The first and second chambers are not in direct fluid communication with each other, so that the hydraulic non-stage transmission is not affected by foreign objects, such as, iron powder or air generated by the differential gear.
The breather improves durability and reliability and lowers the manufacturing cost of the hydraulic non-stage transmission.
