Ultraviolet light-curable adhesive compositions are prepared from diacrylate hydantoin compounds, a photoinitiator and a silane. The adhesives are useful for bonding substrates, one of which is transparent to ultraviolet light.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION What is claimed is: 1.
An ultraviolet light-curable adhesive composition comprising: (a) from 25-75 parts of a diacrylate of the formula ##STR6## (b) from 25-75 parts of a diacrylate comprising (1) from 80 to 100 parts of a compound of the formula ##STR7## (2) from 0 to 20 parts of a compound of the formula ##STR8## (c) from 0.
01 to 2 parts of an organosilane adhesion promoter; and (d) from 0.
01 to 3 parts of a light sensitizer wherein each of R.

The adhesive composition of claim 1 wherein component (a) is present in the range of from 40 to 60 parts; component (b) is present in the range of from 40 to 60 parts; component (c) is present in the range of from 0.

The adhesive composition of claim 1 comprising: a component (a) which is a diacrylate of the formula ##STR9## a component (b) (1) which is a diacrylate of the formula ##STR10## a component (b) (2) which is a diacrylate of the formula ##STR11## a component (c) which is aminopropyltriethoxy silane; and a component (d) which is 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone or 2,2-diethoxyacetophenone.

The adhesive composition of claim 3 comprising (a) 50 parts of a diacrylate of the formula ##STR12## (b) 50 parts of a diacrylate of the formula ##STR13## (c) 0.
5 parts of aminopropyltriethoxy silane; and (d) from 0.
5 to 2 parts of dimethoxyphenylacetophenone.
