DETAILED DESCRIPTION What is claimed is: 1. A method of stabilizing an ink jet print against the deleterious effects of light which comprises preparing an aqueous solution containing at least 30% by weight of water and (i) an effective coloring amount of a water soluble dye, and (ii) 0. 01 to 20% by weight, based on the total solution, an effective stabilizing amount, of at least one compound of formula I ##STR9## wherein R. sub. 1 is hydrogen, C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 4 alkyl, a group --R. sub. 4 --SO. sub. 3 M or --R. sub. 4 --CO. sub. 2 M, R. sub. 2, if R. sub. 1 is H or C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 4 alkyl, is a --SO. sub. 3 M group and, if R. sub. 1 is --R. sub. 4 --CO. sub. 2 M or --R. sub. 4 --SO. sub. 3 M, is H or --SO. sub. 3 M, R. sub. 3 is hydrogen, R. sub. 4 is unsubstituted or OH-substituted C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 4 alkylene, X and Y are each independently of the other a group of formula II or III ##STR10## wherein R. sub. 5 is hydrogen, C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 4 alkyl, --R. sub. 4 --CO. sub. 2 M or --R. sub. 4 --SO. sub. 3 M R. sub. 6 is hydrogen, Cl, C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 4 alkyl or --SO. sub. 3 M, R. sub. 7 is hydrogen, R. sub. 8, R. sub. 9 and R. sub. 10 are each independently of one another H, Cl, C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 4 alkyl, phenyl or --SO. sub. 3 M, and M is hydrogen, Li, Na, K, 1/2Ca, 1/2Mg, 1/2Zn, 1/2Co(II), 1/2Cu(II), 1/2Ni(II), 1/3Cr(III), 1/3Fe(III), ##STR11## wherein R. sub. 11, R. sub. 12, R. sub. 13 and R. sub. 14 are each independently of one another H, C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 12 alkyl, 2-hydroxyethyl, cyclohexyl, phenyl or benzyl, and then applying said aqueous solution as an ink onto a recording material for ink jet printing to form an ink jet print containing an effective stabilizing amount of said compound of formula I. 2. A method according to claim 1 where in the compound of formula I, either a) R. sub. 1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R. sub. 2 is --SO. sub. 3 M, or b) R. sub. 1 is --R. sub. 4 --SO. sub. 3 M or --R. sub. 4 --CO. sub. 2 M and R. sub. 2 is hydrogen, R. sub. 3 is hydrogen, R. sub. 4 is unsubstituted or OH-substituted C. sub. 1 -C. sub. 3 alkylene, X and Y are each independently of the other a group of formula II or III, wherein R
