A portable apparatus is provided which is easy to use, for measuring environmental and biological data and is useful for health care during exercise. The apparatus includes a measuring unit for measuring biological data, such as, a pulse rate and is disposed on a portion of a side portion of a wrist watch type apparatus body. The measuring unit is pressed by the user with his finger. At least one operation button is provided to operate an electrical circuit for processing the measured biological data.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION The portable apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a measuring unit against which a user presses his or her finger and serves as an biological sensor, the measuring unit being disposed on a portion of a side portion of a wrist watch type apparatus body.
At least one operation button is provided for operating electrical circuits for processing the measured data and is provided in the apparatus body.
The operation button is disposed on a portion of the side portion different from the portion on which the measuring unit is disposed.
More specifically, the operation button includes a button body, and a button guide for movably supporting the button body in a direction in which the button body is operated.
The button guide has a support surface which protrudes from an operation surface of the button body.
The portable apparatus according to another aspect of the present invention comprises a wrist side measuring device in which a measuring unit, serving as a biological sensor for measuring biological data, is disposed on a wrist watch type apparatus body.
An external measuring device detachably mounted on the wrist side measuring device measures the biological data which is the same as or different from biological data measured by the wrist side measuring device.
The wrist side measuring device incorporates an environment data measuring mechanism for measuring environment data, such as, temperature or acceleration of a user's motion.
Moreover, the external measuring device is detachably connected to the wrist side measuring device utilizing a magnetic force of a magnet.
The apparatus also comprises a connection structure for connecting either a wrist side apparatus body or a band for securing the apparatus body around an arm to an external unit in which, for example, an external measuring device is incorporated, a connector of either the apparatus body or the band which detachably connects the external unit is provided on a front surface portion of either the apparatus body or the band
