Spread spectrum long loop receiver

DETAILED DESCRIPTION The disadvantages of the prior art are obviated by a Long Loop GPS receiver utilizing a last IF frequency equal to one-half of the PRN code repetition rate.
Local oscillator leakage signals when correlated in the receiver IF section with the PRN code are spread into spectral lines that do not fall on the receive signal.
The last IF signal of the receiver is bandpass filtered to remove the spurious leakage spectral lines.
The frequency of the last IF signal is chosen in the lowest frequency gap between leakage terms resulting in lowest possible speed digital circuitry.
