DETAILED DESCRIPTION We claim: 1. A compound of the formula ##STR6## wherein X. sub. 1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine and bromine, X. sub. 2 is selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine and bromine, X. sub. 3 is selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine and iodine and R is hydroxy in any of the possible isomer forms. 2. A compound of claim 1 in its diastereoisomeric form or mixtures thereof selected from the group consisting of 2,2-dimethyl-3S-(1',2',2',2'-tetrabromoethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carboxylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-3S-(1',2'-dibromo-2',2'-dichloroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carbox ylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-3R-(1',2'-dichloro-2',2'-dibromoethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carbox ylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-3S-(1',2'-dichloro-2',2'-dibromoethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carbox ylic acid and 2,2-dimethyl-3S-(1',2'-dibromo-2',2'-difluoroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carbox ylic acid. 3. A compound of claim 1 in the form of its diastereoisomers or mixtures thereof which is 2,2-dimethyl-3R-(1',2',2',2'-tetrabromoethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carboxylic acid. 4. A compound of claim 1 in the form of its diastereoisomers or mixtures thereof which is 2,2-dimethyl-3R-(1',2'-dibromo-2',2'-dichloroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carbox ylic acid. 5. A compound of claim 1 in the form of diastereoisomers and mixtures thereof which is 2,2-dimethyl-3S-(1',2',2',2'-tetrachloroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carboxylic acid. 6. A compound of claim 1 in the form of its diastereoisomers and mixtures thereof which is 2,2-dimethyl-3R-(1',2',2',2'-tetrachloroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carboxylic acid. 7. A compound of claim 1 in the form of its diastereoisomers and mixtures there of which is 2,2-dimethyl-3R-(1',2'-dibromo-2',2' difluoroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carboxylic acid. 8. A compound of claim 1 in the form of its diastereoisomers and mixtures there of which is 2,2-dimethyl-3R-(1',2'-dibromo-2'-chloro 2'(RS)fluoroethyl)-cyclopropane-1R-carboxylic acid.
